Come Learn the Art of Persuasive Retailing

In an era where consumers can buy goods anywhere, any time, setting up an attractive store, filling it with appealing products, and marketing it to the masses is no longer enough. We’re living in the age of persuasive retailing: engaging, influencing, and persuading shoppers to visit a retail brand is essential to its viability.

Effective digital persuasion pays off. According to Deloitte Digital’s The New Digital Divide, “Retailers’ digital offerings can persuade customers to spend more. In fact, shoppers who bought more — while using digital — said they spent 25% more than what they had originally budgeted.”

Making persuasive retailing happen relies on high quality IT. That’s why we at Level 10 are so excited about our role as platinum sponsor of the 2016 RIS Retail Executive Summit, being held June 22-24 at the Montage Resort in Laguna, CA. This is the place where the industry’s senior and C-level executives get together to share ideas and gain the insights they need to make persuasive retail happen for their brands.

There are a lot of retail conferences, but we strongly encourage our customers and other retailers to make time in their schedules to attend this one because of the quality of the program and the high level of the attendees.

Here are some Summit events that we think are can’t-miss:

  • An opening keynote in which Julie Averill, CIO of REI describes how the retailer is creating a framework for what persuasive retailing means for their enthusiast customer base.
  • Uniquely structured networking and sharing events where retail executives can brainstorm and candidly share real-world experiences with others facing similar challenges.
  • Valuable sessions on key topics including unified commerce, engagement analytics, and building compelling mobile user interfaces as well as leadership skills, from top executives at True Religion, the Ascena Group, and more.
  • A keynote presentation on how companies use gamification to get deeper engagement from their employees.

“We have come a long way since the disruptive forces of omnichannel retailing began changing the rules of shopper engagement, and some good success stories can now be told,” says Joe Skorupa, editorial director of RIS News. “The speakers at the 2016 Retail Executive Summit have successfully bridged the omnichannel gap, and their presentations will focus on how they are solving the challenges of multi-channel engagement and persuasion.”

Another big draw is the annual Retail CIO of the Year awards, because attendees not only learn who wins, but will also get to hear these leaders talk in depth about how they approach and manage IT projects to attain such stellar outcomes.

At Level 10, we are all about creating authentic, engaging, and long-term relationships with our customers. That’s exactly what retailers are seeking to do with their customers. While all of senior management creates the vision, the work of creating the infrastructure and processes to turn those ideas into scaleable, highly reliable, and seamless customer experiences falls to IT. Events like this help them get there.

The RIS Retail Executive Summit is all about the place where IT opportunity and innovation meets the business strategies that drive performance and profit to make persuasive retailing work for brands. To learn more and to register for the event, click here. We hope to see you at the Summit!
